Case Study — Security Technology

Verkada

One exhibition system built to keep adapting.

Verkada needed an exhibition presence that could work across a broader event program without rebuilding from scratch every time — without redesigning the stand for every new floorplan.

Primary Objective
Brand consistency and flexibility across an ongoing exhibition program
The Challenge

The stand had to work beyond one event

A stand designed for a single footprint is relatively straightforward. The harder question is what happens at the next event. Verkada's exhibition program required the same brand to show up across spaces that varied substantially in size. A 6×6 footprint gives a brand very different options from a 3×3. The system therefore needed enough structure to remain recognisably Verkada, while being flexible enough to scale down without feeling like a compromised version of the larger stand. That meant thinking beyond one floorplan from the beginning.

The Approach

Designed as a system, not a fixed layout

TEC developed the environment around elements that could be reused and recombined as the footprint changed. Across the larger configurations, the stand could create a stronger physical presence and support more product, demonstration and conversation space. When the footprint reduced, the same visual language and core assets could still be used without trying to force a large-stand experience into a small space. The objective was consistency without rigidity — Verkada could move between different events and stand sizes while retaining the same overall brand character.
    • Work across different footprints, from 6×6 through to 3×3, without requiring a completely new stand each time
    • Maintain a consistent brand presence — different floorplans still needed to feel unmistakably Verkada
    • Use existing assets intelligently, so reusable components remain useful as the event program changes
    • Give each event the right amount of stand, scaling with the opportunity rather than treating every show the same
The Proof

12 events and counting

The strongest proof of the system is its continued use. Verkada has now deployed the exhibit across 12 events, using three different footprint configurations: 6×6, the largest configuration; 6×3, a more compact format while retaining the broader branded environment; and 3×3, a substantially smaller footprint using the same exhibition system. The value is not simply that components have been reused. It is that the exhibition environment has continued to remain useful as the requirements around it have changed.

The Bigger Idea

A reusable stand shouldn't mean repeating the same layout everywhere

Its value comes from having the right elements to work with as the brief changes. For Verkada, that has meant one exhibition system capable of scaling across three footprints and 12 events while maintaining a consistent brand presence. The result is not a stand designed for one show. It is an exhibition asset designed to keep working.
